Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope

The Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope provides administrative office space for United Way staff alongside a resource and day center for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This design-build project encompassed a 10,000-square-foot, single-story wood frame structure.

Alliance self-performed design assistance, permitting, entitlements, value engineering, LEED services, and construction management. Specific measures taken to achieve LEED certification included native xeriscaping, daylighting strategies, electronic sensor controls on light fixtures, use of regional materials, and low-VOC finishes for paint, carpet, and floor coverings, as well as added insulation throughout.
